What are the pros & cons of cleaning before guests come over?
Pro: Cleaning ahead of time creates a fresh space for your guests to enjoy, with gleaming and well cared for floors that make sure guests feel welcome.
Pro: I even recommend adding a drop of your favourite essential oil when mopping so that the space smells fresh and luxurious.
Cons: it can be very time consuming and may not be suitable or practical if guests will not be taking their shoes off or if it’s a large messy party. This is especially so given that floors are not as much of a priority compared to other cleaning tasks that have more visual impact, like clearing counters, and general preparations like cooking.
What are the pros & cons of cleaning after guests leave?
Pro: A heavy duty get-together calls for a heavy duty clean. It’s important to reset the space for your own comfort and preventing stains from hardening and becoming more of a nuisance later.
Cons: Hosting is tiring, and cleaning up after even more so!
