Step 1: Peel Off the Window Cling

First, peel off the window cling, even using a gentle scraping tool, such as a plastic scraper or even knife, if needed. If you are worried about residue, you can also gently heat the window cling with a hairdryer to soften the glue and get it off more easily.

Step 2: Assess the Residue

Hopefully, that’s where things end. But, a lot of the time, especially with homemade sticky stuff like window clings, l'll find there’s leftover residue to clean.

Step 3: Clean Light Residue

For light residue, a quick swipe with warm soapy water should do. However, for more stubborn residue, I highly recommend using a degreasing spray, such as those you would use in your kitchen to remove grease. Spray the residue and leave on for 1-5 minutes. When you come back to wipe it, the residue should have softened and made it much easier to remove.

Step 4: Tackle Stubborn Residue

For the most difficult situations, I would recommend a mixture of degreasing spray and a gentle scraping tool.
